I've always believed in ghosts and been fascinated by paranormal things, old houses, family legends, and the mysteries that cannot always be explained.
I believe the world still holds wonders we do not fully understand. That curiosity inspires many of the questions explored throughout Ravenloft.
I don't expect everyone to believe exactly what I do, but I hope my stories leave readers asking one simple question: What if?

Why I Write
I write because I want readers to believe that magic is truly real.
I want them to believe that family and friends fight together and stand beside one another when darkness closes in.
Most of all, I want the characters you meet in Ravenloft to feel like people—not names on a page, but friends you cared about and missed when the story ended.
If readers close one of my books feeling that way, then I've accomplished exactly what I hoped to do.
